Florence Daguerre de Hureaux (narrator)

Born in Paris, Florence Daguerre de Hureaux settled in London in 1982. She graduated from Nice University and subsequently trained as a singer at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at the Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles in Paris. She worked as a singer in Europe and later on as a freelance translator for many years for record companies. Early on, her passion for French language, literature and repertoire led her to work as a French coach, working with leading opera companies around the world. In London, she is a staff member at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Academy of Music, the National Opera Studio and the Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House. In 2013 she co-founded the Academy of French Song and Opera.
