Sonata II is based on a similar pattern to the Sonata I, though slightly expanded. Handel must have known this sonata; he used the tune and bass of the Aria in a number of works, including Agrippina, a recorder sonata and two organ concertos.

La Sonate II reprend le même schéma que la Sonate I, mais en l’étoffant un peu. Hændel devait connaître cette sonate puisqu’il utilisa la mélodie et la basse de l’Aria dans plusieurs de ses œuvres, dont Agrippina, une sonate pour flûte à bec et deux concertos pour orgue.

Die Sonate II beruht auf einem ähnlichen Muster, das hier jedoch etwas erweitert wird. Händel muss diese Sonate gekannt haben; er verwendete Melodie und Bass der Aria in einer Anzahl von Werken, unter anderem in Agrippina, einer Blockflötensonate und zwei Orgelkonzerten.
