September 2014 Releases

Our Record of the Month for September 2014 is a glorious showcase for mezzo-soprano Alice Coote: eleven sublime Handel Arias with inspirational support from Harry Bicket and The English Concert, making their Hyperion debut. A fifth volume in our Complete Brahms Songs series finds Christopher Maltman and Graham Johnson revealing the neglected wonders of the Magelone-Romanzen. Westminster Cathedral Choir has recorded the three Byrd Masses, the Tudor masterpieces this choir did so much to restore to the repertoire a hundred years ago; Martin Baker conducts.
