‘Stunningly beautiful’ (Organists' Review)

'Disco absolutamente recomendable a todos los amigos de la polifonia, qie se encontraran con 73 minutos de buena musica bellamente interpretada' (CD Compact, Spain)
The chant antiphon Ante sex dies is one of several antiphons which might have been sung during this procession which, on its return to the church, ended with the Gloria, laus, et honor, a joyful hymn in praise of Christ the King. The refrain ‘Gloria, laus’ is an anonymous setting dating from the seventeenth century to which Francisco António de Almeida added the verses with which it alternates.
