Fair daffodils  [2'31]

In 1905 Bridge set his second Herrick poem, Fair daffodils, revising it for publication in 1919. Though not possessing the haunting memorability of Delius’s version this is much more naturally pianistic, and has a character of its own.

from notes by Michael Pilkington 1997
