The British pianist Roger Vignoles is now internationally recognized as one of the leading piano accompanists of today, regularly partnering the world's finest singers and instrumentalists in the musical capitals of the world. He has appeared at the Salzburg Festival with Thomas Allen and Heinrich Schiff, at the Münchener Festwochen with Dame Margaret Price, and at the Hohenems Schubertiade with Barbara Bonney; also at the Musikverein in Vienna with Thomas Allen and Arleen Auger, at the Deutsche Oper, Berlin, with Andreas Schmidt, and at the Alte Oper, Frankfurt, with Elisabeth Söderström and Sarah Walker. He is also a regular partner of Dame Kiri Te Kanawa with whom he has performed in Barcelona, Brussels, Cologne, Geneva, Hamburg, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Rome and Venice, as well as touring extensively in the USA and the Far East.
Roger Vignoles's recordings include several collections of Lieder, French song and cabaret songs with Sarah Walker, songs by Liszt, Ravel and Obradours with Kiri Te Kanawa, and French songs and duets with Ann Murray and Philip Langridge. He has also recorded the complete songs of Copland (with Roberta Alexander) and the complete Canticles by Benjamin Britten (with Anthony Rolfe Johnson and Michael Chance) as well as recordings of songs by Schumann, Wolf and Dvorák with Jard van Nes, and by Tchaikovsky with Joan Rodgers.
