Reviews

'A very enjoyable disc indeed' (The Good CD Guide)

'The best Gottschalk disk currently available' (Fanfare, USA)

'An important and recommendable issue … to be welcomed wholeheartedly' (CDReview)
This is the fashionable European Gottschalk, with some appropiately Chopinesque figurations and runs. It is in the melancholy key of F sharp minor and is one of several in this form composed during his Paris days, a number of which have since been lost.
