Midnight in Seville, composed during Gottschalk’s sojourn in Spain but not published until 1856 when he included it in his New York recitals. With its pianistic evocations of the guitar,it is a precursor of the Spanish keyboard school of Albéniz and Granados.

Mitternacht in Sevilla, komponiert während Gottschalks Spanienaufenthalt, jedoch erst 1856 publiziert, als er das Stück in sein New Yorker Konzertprogramm aufnahm.
