He has appeared at Glyndebourne and with English National Opera, Scottish Opera, Badishes Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Staatstheater Stuttgart, New Israeli Opera, Netherlands Opera, Opera Zuid and at many festivals including Buxton, Wexford, Lausanne and Göttingen.
Adrian has appeared with the Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, Northern Sinfonia, Bournemouth Symphony (Orchestra and Sinfonietta), National Arts Centre (Ottawa) Orchestras. Also the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, The London Mozart Players, The Nash Ensemble, The Schoenberg Ensemble, The Sixteen and The English Concert with conductors Hickox, Gardiner, Christophers, Pinnock, Bedford, Glover, Knussen, de Leeuw, Daussgard, Herreweghe, Fischer and Pesek. He is particularly in demand for his interpretations of all the major works of Benjamin Britten, Verdi's Requiem, Elgar's Dream of Gerontius and the Evangelists of Bach's St John and St Matthew Passions.
A very experienced recitalist, he regularly appears at London's Wigmore Hall with The Songmakers' Almanac and on BBC Radio. He is a frequent visitor to The Aldeburgh Festival and has given recitals in the South Bank's major Schubert and Schoenberg series and in Northern Ireland, Geneva, Stuttgart and Amsterdam.
