Our Record of the Month for March brings the second volume of Beethoven Cello Sonatas from Angela Hewitt's inspiring collaboration with Daniel Müller-Schott, and is complemented by a third joint venture between fellow Australians Piers Lane and the Goldner String Quartet, this time in a ravishing programme of the two Dvořák Piano Quintets.

Varied and esoteric instrumental fare is to be found in Susanne Heinrich's enthralling Passion & Division, a selection from Tobias Hume's First Part of Ayres, and in our eighth volume of Bach Piano Transcriptions, which gives full vent to the Piers Lane virtuosity through the complete transcriptions by Eugen d'Albert.

Westminster Cathedral Choir and Martin Baker add a further two Palestrina Masses to the choir's enviable canon.
