'A triumph … highly recommended' (Soundscapes, Australia)
BWV1045 appears to be a completed concerto-style opening movement to a late-ish lost cantata (from about 1730); it seems to be in a newer style of composition than the preserved Cöthen works for violin and orchestra, but may have been drawn from a previously existing solo violin concerto with lighter scoring.
