Scherz-Polka, Op 72
composer
1849

Introduction  EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
The younger Johann’s Scherz Polka (‘Joke Polka’) was first heard at the Sperl ballroom just a couple of months after the elder Johann’s death. The title refers not to any specific joke but to the general playfulness of the composition.
