The version of Rapsodie hongroise II contains all of the later additions to the work (made on three separate occasions) except the larger of the two cadenzas. These additions give a completely different atmosphere to the work; the added gypsy elaborations range from the weighty extension of the opening motif to the imitation of the cimbalom at the end of the first part, and the last three chords are replaced with a coda much more reminiscent of the style of the old Liszt.

La version de la Rapsodie hongroise II recèle tous les ajouts faits ultérieurement à l’œuvre (en trois circonstances distinctes), hors la plus grande des deux cadences. Ces ajouts confèrent à la pièce une atmosphère tout autre; les élaborations tziganes supplémentaires vont de la pesante extension du motif d’ouverture à l’imitation du cymbalum, à la fin de la première partie, tandis que les trois derniers accords sont remplacés par une coda qui rappelle beaucoup plus le style du Liszt âgé.

Die Fassung der Rapsodie hongroise II enthält alle späteren (bei drei verschiedenen Gelegenheiten verfaßten) Hinzufügungen außer der umfangreicheren der zwei Kadenzen. Diese Ergänzungen verleihen dem Werk eine völlig andere Athmosphäre; die hinzugefügten zigeunermusikhaften Ausschmückungen reichen von der gewichtigen Erweiterung des Eröffnungsmotivs bis zur Imitation eines Cimbalom am Ende des ersten Abschnitts, und die letzten drei Akkorde werden durch eine Koda ersetzt, die mehr an den Stil des alten Liszt erinnert.
