Duet for basset horns No 4 in B flat major
composer
circa 1803; A New a Complete Preceptor for the Clarinet

Allegro maestoso  [4'27]
Romance  [3'04]

Introduction  EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
The two ‘concertante duetts’ are taken from A New and Compleat Preceptor for the Clarinet. They are printed in such a way that they can be played on two clarinets, or, using alternative low notes, on ‘two Corno Bassettas’. They are probably the earliest English pieces for the basset horn.
