Reviews

‘This boldly presented recital … holds the listener from beginning to end’ (The Penguin Guide to Compact Discs)

‘Herrick's technical mastery is stunningly apparent’ (Contemporary Review)
The 33 bars of the Pedal-Exercitium, BWV598, test the skill of the performer in many areas of technique – changing patterns of alternate toe-pedalling, leaps, repeated notes and scale passages. It has been suggested that it could also have originated as a work for cello.
