Introduction  EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
Illuxit nunc sacra dies is a straightforward short piece in celebration of the Nativity. Its vigorous rhythms, use of imitation in thirds and close stretto entries all contribute to the sense of rejoicing, which a short section of triple time near the end underlines.
