In its fast movements Sonata 9 employs double-stopping of a more contrapuntal kind, so that the single violin simulates the sound of the two violins in a trio sonata. In the second movement the bass has some dazzling rapid flights.

Dans ses mouvements rapides, la Sonate 9 utilise des doubles-cordes d’une sorte plus contrapuntique, de sorte que l’unique violon simule le son des deux violons dans une sonate à trois. Dans le deuxième mouvement, la basse a quelques rapides envolées éblouissantes.

In ihren schnellen Sätzen bedient sich die Sonate 9 kontrapunktisch orientierter Doppelgriffe, so daß die eine Violine den Klang zweier Geigen in einer Triosonate simuliert. Im zweiten Satz hat der Baß einige verblüffend rasante Passagen.
