Drawing on a team comprising some of Britainís leading brass players, The Wallace Collectionís flexibility has enabled them to perform the complete gamut of brass repertory on both period and modern instruments. The groupís extensive discography led them to launch their own label which has enabled them to make available again the majority of their acclaimed past recordings.
As a result of his appointment from January 2001 as Principal of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, The Wallace Collection is about to disappear, but in name only. The groupís members will be continuing John Wallaceís ground-breaking work by forming themselves into a new ensemble, The Golden Section, which will continue to innovate whilst maintaining the very highest of standards in the core of repertory for brass and wind which has been the groupís forte to date.
