Gothic Voices performs regularly at the Wigmore Hall, and the South Bank Centre in London and at major festivals both in the UK and abroad. Following an acclaimed US debut in Berkeley, California 1992, Gothic Voices has returned to the USA and Canada several times with concerts in California, Texas, New York, Vancouver and Toronto.
During recent seasons Gothic Voices has performed at the Edinburgh and Cheltenham International Music Festivals, and has toured extensively in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Slovenia and Switzerland and throughout Britain.
Gothic Voices has released several CD recordings for Hyperion, resulting in Gramophone awards and a steady stream of the highest praise from the critics. Some of the more recent discs represent a new departure for the group, exploring the rich repertoire of the fifteenth-century mass. One of their releases – The Earliest Songbook in England – is an anthology of monophonic and polyphonic songs, many of them for the Christmas season, dating from around 1200 and saved by chance through their re-use as flyleaves for another book.
