Eteson, Richard (tenor)

Richard Eteson (tenor)

Richard Eteson sang the solo verse of Once in Royal David’s City as Head Chorister at King’s College, Cambridge, opening the world-famous carol service to a radio and TV audience of millions. Returning to King’s College, Cambridge as a tenor, he featured as a soloist on the Choir’s recording of Rachmaninov’s Vespers. Since Cambridge, Richard has also sung with Polyphony, Magnificat, Collegium Musicum 90, Opus Anglicanum, The Cambridge Scholars, Close Encounters, and was a member of The Swingle Singers from 2000 to 2010. As well as frequent UK oratorio performances as a soloist, he has made numerous recordings and TV appearances, and has performed in many of the world’s leading venues including the Sydney Opera House, Australia, La Scala, Milan, the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, Suntory Hall, Tokyo, the Esplanade Centre, Singapore, and the Terme di Caracalle, Rome.
