Since its formation in 1981, the New London Chamber Choir has become a unique part of the European musical scene, known for its aptitude for an exceptional range of musical styles from the fourteenth century to the most uncompromising contemporary scores.

The choir has worked closely with some of the world's leading composers, including Xenakis, Ligeti, Kurtag, Rich, Kagel, and Takemitsu, and has toured across Europe and broadcast regularly on BBC Radio.

In 1986 Pierre Boulez honoured the choir by becoming its Patron.
