The young Austrian Jakob Huppmann is one of the rising stars of the countertenor world. As well as winning prizes at numerous international singing competitions he has worked as a soloist with the conductors René Jacobs, Ivor Bolton, Thomas Hengelbrock, Alessandro de Marchi, and Rubèn Dubrovsky, together with orchestras such as Freiburger Barockorchester, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg and the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble. His repertoire includes Bach’s Passions, Handel’s Giulio Cesare (Cesare) and A Reimann’s Lear (Edgar).
