Concerto in C major, RV537


We do not know where and when Vivaldi wrote his well-known concerto, his only work for trumpets and strings. It is similar in idiom to some Bologna works, though it is in C major rather than D major—a distinctive feature found in other works by Vivaldi with trumpet.

On ignore où et quand Vivaldi écrivit son célèbre Concerto, sa seule œuvre pour trompettes et cordes. D’un style similaire à celui des œuvres bolognaises, il est néanmoins conçu en ut majeur plutôt qu’en ré majeur—un trait particulier qui apparaît dans d’autres pages pour trompette de Vivaldi.

Wir wissen nicht, wo und wann Vivaldi sein bekanntes Konzert komponiert hat, sein einziges für Trompeten und Streicher. Es bedient sich eines ähnlichen Idioms wie einige der Werke aus Bologna, steht jedoch in C-Dur anstatt D-Dur—eine Besonderheit, die bei Vivaldi auch in anderen Werken mit Trompete zu finden ist.
