First line:
Oh the old ship laughs as she takes the water
author of text

This is one of Fred Weatherly's later lyrics, written when he was nearly eighty. The composer is Wilfrid Sanderson, who by this time had moved for the sake of his wife’s health from Doncaster to Nutfield in Surrey, where he died.
