The single Agnus Dei found anonymously in the ‘Wrocław codex’ has been attributed to Obrecht by Rob Wegman. It features an extremely simple ostinato in the superius voice, which sings a three-note motif (originally G-F-G) on five ascending pitches, before reversing the procedure in the second half of the movement. Meanwhile the lower voices have a somewhat imitative texture, with rhythmically interesting passagework and occasional moments of stasis. This type of pattern composition is quite characteristic of Obrecht, and the movement may well be added to the canon of this intriguing composer.

L’unique Agnus Dei trouvé anonymement dans le «codex de Wrocław» a été attribué à Obrecht par Rob Wegman. Il comporte un ostinato très simple à la voix superius, qui chante un motif de trois notes (à l’origine sol-fa-sol) sur cinq hauteurs de son ascendantes, avant d’inverser la procédure dans la seconde moitié du mouvement. Pendant ce temps, les voix inférieures ont une texture quelque peu imitative, avec des traits intéressants sur le plan rythmique et des moments occasionnels de stagnation. Ce type de composition est tout à fait caractéristique d’Obrecht et ce mouvement peut très bien être ajouté à l’œuvre de ce fascinant compositeur.

Das einzelne Agnus Dei, welches im „Codex Breslau“ als anonym verzeichnet ist, wurde Obrecht von Rob Wegman zugeschrieben. In der Superius-Stimme erklingt ein äußerst simples Ostinato, ein Dreiton-Motiv (zunächst G-F-G), welches fünfmal wiederholt und dabei jeweils höher geschraubt wird, bevor sich dieses Muster in der zweiten Hälfte des Satzes umdreht. Die tieferen Stimmen haben unterdessen eine recht imitative Textur mit rhythmisch interessanten Passagen und gelegentlichen Augenblicken des Stillstands. Derartige Kompositionsmuster sind für Obrecht charakteristisch, und der Satz sollte durchaus dem Kanon dieses faszinierenden Komponisten hinzugefügt werden.
