Peculiar terms of physical intimacy

This jig which I arranged for the Smith Quartet is from ‘Music for The Third Policeman’; my 1989 album inspired by Flann O’Brien’s book of that name. It’s best to read the story to see how these peculiar terms of physical intimacy come about. Of course with such a title it makes sense that the musicians are trapped in unison throughout the piece.
