Magnificat anima mea Dominum.
Et exsultavit spiritus meus
in Deo, salutari meo.
Quia respexit humilitatem
ancillae suae:
ecce enim ex hoc
beatam me dicent omnes generationes.
Quia fecit mihi magna qui potens est:
et sanctum nomen eius.
Et misericordia eius a progenie in progenies
timentibus eum.
Fecit potentiam in brachio suo:
dispersit superbos mente cordis sui.
Deposuit potentes de sede,
et exaltavit humiles.
Esurientes implevit bonis:
et divites dimisit inanes.
Suscepit Israel, puerum suum,
recordatus misericordiae suae.
Sicut locutus est ad patres nostros,
Abraham, et semini eius in saecula.

Gloria Patri, et Filio,
et Spiritui Sancto.
Sicut erat in principio,
et nunc, et semper,
et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

Luke 1: 46-55

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.
And my spirit rejoices
in God, my saviour.
For he has looked with favour on the lowliness
of his handmaiden:
behold, from henceforth
all generations shall call me blessed.
For he that is mighty has done wondrous
things for me: and holy is his name.
And his mercy is upon them that fear him
throughout all generations.
He has shown the power of his arm:
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has put down the mighty from their seat,
and has exalted the humble and meek.
He has filled the hungry with good things:
and the rich he has sent empty away.
He has sustained his servant, Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy.
As he promised to our forefathers,
Abraham and his sons for ever.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Mon âme magnifie le Seigneur.
Et mon esprit exulte
en Dieu, mon sauveur.
Car il la jeté les yeux sur l’abaissement
de sa servante:
oui, désormais toutes
les générations me diront bienheureuse.
Car lui qui est puissant a fait pour moi
de grandes choses; et saint est son nom.
Et sa miséricorde s’étend d’âge en âge
sur ceux qui le craignent.
Il a déployé la puissance de son bras:
il a dispersé ceux au cœur superbe.
Il a renversé les puissants de leur siège,
et élevé les humbles.
Il a comblé de biens les affamés
et renvoyé les riches les mains vides.
Il est venu en aide à Israël, son serviteur,
se rappelant sa miséricorde.
Selon qu’il avait annoncé à nos pères,
en faveur d’Abraham et de sa postérité à jamais.

Gloire au Père, et au Fils,
et au Saint-Esprit.
Comme it était au commencement,
comme il est maintenant, et comme il sera toujours,
et pour les siècles des siècles. Amen.

Mein Seele verherrlicht den Herrn.
Mein Geist frohlocket
in Gott, meinem Retter.
Er blickt auf seine Dienerin
in ihrer Nichtigkeit;
so werden mich alle von nun an
geheiligt nennen.
Der Allmächtige wirkt Wunder für mich,
geheiligt sei sein Name.
Seine Barmherzigkeit überdauert Jahrhunderte
für die, die ihn fürchten.
Er streckt seinen starken Arm aus
und zerstreut, die stolzen Herzens sind.
Er stößt die Mächtigen von ihrem Thron
und erhöht die Niedrigen.
Er nährt die Hungrigen mit guter Nahrung,
schickt die Reichen mittellos weg.
Er beschützt Israel, seinen Diener,
und erinnert sich an seine Barmherzigkeit.
Die unserer Vätern verheißen wurde,
Abraham und seinen Söhnen, für immer.

Ehre sei dem Vater und dem Sohn
und dem Heiligen Geist.
Wie es war im Anfang,
jetzt und immerdar,
und von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. Amen.
