Blessed are all they that fear the Lord

titled 'the marriage song' in the Chirk Castle Part-Books
author of text
Psalm 128

Blessed are all they that fear the Lord, a setting of words from Psalm 128, is entitled ‘the marriage song’ in the part-books. It is one of Christopher Tye’s most unpretentious yet well-wrought anthems, in which chordal textures predominate, relieved occasionally by short passages of imitation.

Blessed are all they that fear the Lord, sur des paroles empruntées au psaume 128, est intitulé «the marriage song» dans les parties séparées.

Yn y rhan-lyfrau, mae Blessed are all they that fear the Lord, gosodiad o eiriau o Salm 128, yn dwyn y teitl ‘the marriage song’. Mae’n un o anthemau mwyaf diymhongar ond mwyaf cywrain Christopher Tye, lle ceir gweadau cordiol yn bennaf, wedi’u hysgafnhau’n achlysurol gan adrannau dynwaredol byrion.
