Conducted by Director of Music Graham Ross, this magnificent recording spans works by composers with direct connections to Clare College in Cambridge—from William Denis Browne’s canticles composed as a student in 1911, through to world premiere recordings of new commissions including Nico Muhly’s title anthem, Héloïse Werner’s canticles, and a setting by current undergraduate Thomas Alban. Also included is a rare first recording of a work by former Clare Organ Scholar Ayo Bankole, recovered after considerable research.
