Bruckner: Symphony No 6
performed from the Urtext Edition by Benjamin-Gunnar Cohrs

Atypical of its composer in some ways, from the insistent rhythmic pulse with which it opens to its relative brevity (less than an hour), Bruckner’s Sixth has—unjustly—never enjoyed the popularity of his other later symphonies. It holds no terrors for Sir Simon Rattle and the London Symphony Orchestra, who here give the premiere recording of the Urtext Edition by Benjamin-Gunnar Cohrs (Cohrs A06), published by Alexander Hermann Publishing Group, Vienna 2016.
