American pianist Ann Schein (1939-2026) had a long and distinguished career as both a performer and teacher, but for those ‘in the know’ her most impressive recordings were those she made between 1958 and 1960 for the US Kapp label in its short-lived entry into the classical world. These five long-unavailable LPs are reissued here together for the first time.
