‘Stunningly beautiful’ (Organists' Review)

'Disco absolutamente recomendable a todos los amigos de la polifonia, qie se encontraran con 73 minutos de buena musica bellamente interpretada' (CD Compact, Spain)
The music of Gabriel Díaz Bessón, one of the most notable and prolific Spanish composers active during the early seventeenth century, was fully represented in João IV’s library which included an enormous number of his polychoral Masses and settings of the Psalms. This simple Sanctus and Benedictus for four voices was copied from his book Luctus ecclesiae and also forms part of his Missa ferial sung during the Lenten season.
