Gordon Jacob's Four Sketches, were written in 1976. Tinged with the composer's delightful humour, the somewhat fanciful movement titles speak for themselves—A Peaceful Piece (Lento e tranquillo), A Little Waltz (Grazioso alla valse), L'Après-midi d'un dinosaur (Poco lento, pesante) and Polka (Giocoso). The music is published by Emerson Edition.
