Chloë Hanslip makes an eagerly awaited third recording for Hyperion. In The complete works for violin and piano by York Bowen she is joined by Danny Driver, whose championing of this composer has already proved most rewarding. Garrick Ohlsson turns his attention to Piano Music by Charles Tomlinson Griffes—perhaps these wonderful performances might at last add substance to Copland's exhortation 'Griffes is a name that deserves to be remembered'.
Budget-price re-issues this month see Piers Lane traversing the Solo Piano Music of Eugen d'Albert, and two sublime Palestrina Masses from Westminster Cathedral Choir.
