April 2008 Releases

April may be the cruellest month, but it finds Marc-André Hamelin in a State of Jazz, the Holst Singers exploring Estonian riches in the music of Veljo Tormis, and Kate Bott and Richard Suart being Jolly Silly chez Lionel Monckton. Back in the real world Andrew Kennedy firmly puts the kibosh on any theory that Richard Strauss songs are For Girls, Howard Shelley doubly leads an antipodean assault on Hiller's Piano Concertos and Westminster Abbey is contemplating The Feast of the Ascension.
