It was in November 1839 that Vienna’s leading dance hall of the time, the Sperl, echoed to the sound of the elder Johann Strauss’s Wiener Gemüths-Walzer (‘Viennese Good-Nature Waltz’), a piece that was dedicated to the young Prince Nikolaus Esterházy (1817-1894).

Ce fut en novembre 1839 que la grande salle de bal viennoise de l’époque, le Sperl, résonna des échos du Wiener Gemüths-Walzer (« Valse de l’âme viennoise »), dédié au jeune prince Nikolaus Esterhàzy (1817-1894).
