Wiener Gemüths-Walzer, Op 116
EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
It was in November 1839 that Vienna’s leading dance hall of the time, the Sperl, echoed to the sound of the elder Johann Strauss’s Wiener Gemüths-Walzer (‘Viennese Good-Nature Waltz’), a piece that was dedicated to the young Prince Nikolaus Esterházy (1817-1894).
