Antiphon to the Virgin Mary from Trinity until Advent

 
Herman the Cripple, as he was known, was a theorist and composer at the Benedictine monastery of Reichenau. He is chiefly remembered for his two famous antiphons to the Blessed Virgin Mary, this one and Alma redemptoris mater.

Connu sous le nom d’Herman l’Infirme, Hermanus Contractus était théoricien et compositeur au monastère des Bénédictins de Reichenau. On se souvient principalement de ses deux célèbres antiennes à la Vierge Marie, celle-ci et Alma redemptoris mater.

Hermann, mit dem Beinamen „der Krüppel“, war eine Theoretiker und Komponist im Benediktinerkloster Reichenau. Er ist hauptsächlich bekannt durch seine beiden berühmten Antiphonen an die Heilige Jungfrau Maria, das hier gespielte Stück und Alma redemptoris mater.
