This composition by Lord Henry Somerset is a setting of a celebrated poem by Christina Rossetti, one of the most important poets in Victorian England. She was the youngest member of a remarkable family of poets, artists and critics, the most famous being the Pre-Raphaelite painter and poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
