Two Orchestral Interludes, Op 19e
These two short pieces for flute, piano and strings were first written as easy piano duets, dedicated to Ludgrove School and published by Oxford University Press in 1930. The second was published in an arrangement for organ and both appear as interludes in Milford’s children’s cantata Rain, Wind and Sunshine. In their present form they are unpublished. Both feature traditional tunes, the first D’ye Ken John Peel, the second Drink to me only with thine eyes.
