Polka in B flat, RO273
EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
Except for some octave flourishes above the treble stave there is little to persuade anyone hearing for the first time this slender but delightful two-step, that it is not by Scott Joplin. Among the most remarkable examples of Gottschalk’s prescient writing, it provides strong support for the claim that in his American, Spanish and West Indian music he was years ahead of his time.
