Ojos criollos 'Danse cubaine, caprice brillant, contradanza', RO185 Op 37

composer
1859; published in New York in 1860; alternative title: Les yeux créoles; piano 4 hands as RO184; piano solo version published in Havana in 1860

Creole Eyes again marries the music of two continents, a polka giving way to a salubrious tango. This was one of Gottschalk’s most popular pieces during his lifetime both as a solo and as a piano duet.
