Sonatina 'in diem nativitatis Christi MCMXVII', BV274
EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
The Sonatina ‘in diem nativitatis Christi MCMXVII’ (No 4, 1917) begins with a lightly dissonant contrapuntal section that suggests Hindemith’s music from the 1930s onwards. Its third and fourth sections (out of six) stand out with an imitation of bells (a recurring motif in Busoni’s music) and a siciliana rhythm.
