Mass IX (‘Cum iubilo’) is one of the jewels in the crown of the Kyriale, wherein the twelfth-century Dorian Kyrie, Mixolydian Gloria, and Lydian Sanctus and Agnus Dei each reflect their liturgical context to perfection.
