Weimars Volkslied, S542i
EnglishFrançaisDeutsch
The five-versed account of Weimars Volkslied is the piano version of the choral work composed in 1857 to mark the laying of the cornerstone of the monument to the aforementioned Prince Carl August. Of its kind, it is an excellent ceremonial piece, with moments of depth and beauty not normally associated with such music.

from notes by Leslie Howard İ 1995
