Vergine Bella
Vergine Bella is a transcription of a vocal original, in this case a devotional madrigal, or ‘lauda’, by the Mantuan composer Bartolomeo Tromboncino. The restrained divisions leave intact the polyphony and the form of the original with its closing ‘Amen’.
