Composed pretty much simultaneously in the years 1824 to 1826, Beethoven's final quartets stand unique in the repertoire. Symphonic in scale and ambition, these most ineluctable of works here find new champions in the form of the Calidore String Quartet: an auspicious start to a new cycle.
