The LSO String Ensemble is directed by LSO leader Roman Simović and comprises the virtuoso principals from each section. Here they relish in three English masterpieces: Vaughan Williams's classic Tallis Fantasia, Britten's innovative Bridge Variations, and Elgar's Introduction and Allegro, a much-loved work composed for and premiered by the orchestra.
