MacCunn: Land of the mountain and the flood & other orchestral works

Described as ‘unquestionably the finest opera of the late Victorian period’, Jeanie Deans was first performed in 1894 and has most recently been revived in 1986 and 1994, on each occasion being highly praised. This is the first recording of any part of it at all. The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Martyn Brabbins are joined by distinguished soloists including Lisa Milne and Janice Watson.
