Reviews

‘Russian composers have set many English poems to music, and here we have some of the best’ (Classic FM Magazine)

‘Even more impressive than their two previous collections … a CD that merits a very strong recommendation’ (Fanfare, USA)
The brevity and piquancy of the The King's Campaign, to Russian words by Samuil Marshak (1887-1964) is based on a children's rhyme more familiar to most English as The Grand Old Duke of York and is dedicated to fellow-composer Vissarion Shebalin.
